Comic Crusaders - Johnny Hughes
Jun 14, 2015This book is a fantastic read. Yes there are a number of very clear influences in play: The Matrix, Monsters Inc and Cabin in the Woods all have a part within the issue. That said, Guy is the hero of the book. He is an everyman, a person we could all be at any point in our lives. This means his failures and failings are our failures and failings. It also means that his success, his realizations are also ours and allow Guy and ourselves, by connection, to overcome and endure. Read Full Review

Jul 07, 2015Finally I'd like to say that this issue managed to successfully set expectations for itself at the beginning then shatter them by the end for me. I'd highly recommend this series to anyone and I highly look forward to reading the rest of the story as it come out. Read Full Review

Comic Bastards - Austin Lanari
Jul 08, 2015Ultimately this sad tale becomes a love story wrapped in a monster story: a dangerous liaison that lives up to its name, surely. There is something really triumphant aboutNegative Space#1 and its ability to mix together so many genres without stepping away from such a simple and sad story. That all of this was achieved within a first issue borders on upsettingly fantastic. Read Full Review

Jun 17, 2015The art for the book is well-suited for its story. Detailed and mesmerizing, the art captures the emotions and feel of the book in a unique way. The colors are well-matched to each scene and the characters are realistically varied. The book features people of all shapes, sizes, and colors. Each character has a physical appearance that is reminiscent of his or her personality. I applaud the artist, as the art is one of the most important factors in keeping the reader engaged in the story.Negative Spaceis one of the most engaging books I have read as of recent, and I recommend all FGS readers to go out and pick it up. I, for one, have already added it to my pull list. Read Full Review

Horror DNA - James Ferguson
Jun 12, 2015Negative Space is a damn near perfect first issue. It's a comic that grabs you with a helluva hook and never lets go. You're instantly pulled into this world and intrigued by the conspiracy that's lurking just beneath the surface. This coupled with the strong and emotional character development makes it a must read. It's definitely not your average horror story, and that's what makes it so special. Read Full Review

Jun 14, 2015This first issue is a dark, gritty book that toys with your emotions and perceptions. It’s well written and intriguing and, it shows no sign of stopping now as Guy heads down a dark, twisted and conspiracy-laden path with very real monsters waiting for him at the end. Read Full Review

Jul 08, 2015I'm wary of what the series may bring about in terms of the story, because it can go pretty dark, but it's got its hooks in me deep right now. Read Full Review

Jul 07, 2015Overall, this is a surprisingly affecting study of depression, masquerading as a fascinating sci-fi tale. Part 1984, part The Truman Show, and thoroughly enjoyable, this well worth picking up if youre after something completely different for your pull list this month. Read Full Review

Jul 07, 2015Negative Space is another great comic book from a couple of creators who should soon be household names. It's a combination of a big concept relating to a smaller idea and strong execution that makes this one hold up. Lindsay and Gieni are a great team with strengths that definitely complement each other. It feels a little bit like this will read better as whole work, not broken down into individual issues but this is a strong start. Read Full Review

The whole time I was reading this all I could think of was the movie "Truman" but with a twist. I closed it with no inclination that I'll likely pick up issue #2, it didn't peak my interest enough.
