  Though I've had gripes with the art style (and have never neglected to be a douche about how I don't like the pointy noses) the art in this issue goes beautifully with the prose. Once again, Ba and Moon steep this comic in atmosphere, and the effortlessly fluid nature of the flow from panel to panel makes this comic rush by. Gothic castles, cold wilderness, and a general sense of inevitable damnation is conveyed through the depictions of Agent Anders, and of the other characters and beasts around him. 9.5 Great flow to the comic, between the art and the writing.Memorable use of Professor Bruttenholm.When analyzed as a whole series, it isn't as good.   As a whole, Vampire has been an incredible addition to the B.P.R.D. saga. On its own, the final issue was absolutely fantastic. This series got better with each installment and this didnt change for a single month. Even if youre not familiar with this huge universe, Vampire is a terrific horror comic book on its own. Although it will apparently be quite some time before we see another Anders mini-series, this issue still leaves the door wide open for the next book; it looks like the B.P.R.D. is set to hunt down Simon and put a stop to his grim machinations. Mignola books never fail to impress, but brothers B and Moon were a wonderful addition to the creative stable. Lets hope we see them lend their impressive skills to this world again in the future.   This arc is very different than many other B.P.R.D .stories in circulation as it combines the classic themes of the series with the seldom seen vampire aspect that is underlying throughout Mignola's universe.   Look chances are that if you're already readingB.P.R.D. Vampireyou're going to pick this book up anyone in which I'd say that it's par for the course in the series so far and a bit underwhelming when held to the standard of Mingola books in general. If you haven't picked up theB.P.R.D. Vampire seriesbut are a fan of Mignola and considering it, I'd say buy it if you're a completionist, desperately trying to connect all the dots of Mignola's universe, or if you really like the 40's BPRD stuff. For non-fans however this is not a very good place to jump into the Mignola universe, it's too underwhelming and too contingent on other series to really be an easy read, I would recommend instead some of the older Hellboy trades such as Seed of Destruction or Wake the Devil or if you want a current series try Hellboy in Hell or Abe Sapien.
