ROBOCOP #7 begins with pure fan service and then rushes towards yet another exciting and crazy conflict. It's not big on character but it has a ton of plot progression as we're thrown back into the ugliness and violence of the classic franchise's world. Before everything hits the fan, we get a totally cheerworthy scene of a newly upgraded RoboCop in action and it's awesomely over-the-top and thrilling. Seeing as much of this chapter is building towards another big conflict (don't worry, the cliffhanger delivers), this was a great and unforgettable way to open the issue before focusing purely on story. It's looking like the next issue will have even more craziness, too! You know they're handling the franchise with respect and when every issue makes me want to go re-watch the first movie. Comics based on a movie or a cartoon franchise usually don't interest me too much because I already know what we're going to get. RoboCop delivers the franchise's definitive voice with an intriguing narrative that is easy to follow and large in scope. Read Full Review

This book is fulfilling for those who remember watching that first film on VHS and being totally amazed by the brutality of that fictional future. Even though this is the seventh issue in the reboot, it's a good point to pick up the story and sets up what is sure to be a bloody and gruesome next issue. Read Full Review

RoboCop #7 feels a little too convenient at times, but, like the moments in a film just before Act 3 really kicks off it places all of the players in just the right places to make what is coming next possible. That said, I really cant wait to see what happens in Act 3 now. Read Full Review

Overall, I wanted to like this Robocop series but unfortunately there isn't much to like about this comic. The story is very ordinary and the upgrades given to Robo make him look cheesy rather than cool. A cool character that continues to be underutilized. Read Full Review
