Once And Future #13 is a great example of a perfectly paced comic. It builds and builds till the end, giving readers a wonderful cliffhanger to keep them coming back. Gillen fits in some fun character work and even a new subplot- who is watching Duncan and Rose? Mora didn't get a gonzo action scene this issue, but he got to show off his character acting chops, and it worked perfectly. This book continues to impress. Read Full Review

'Once & Future' #13 kicks off an all-new storyline with the resurrection of yet another legendary menace with ties to the Arthurian legend. Kieron Gillen eases us into this new chapter with a family reunion and a new quest. Find Elaine, Bridgette's estranged daughter! Dan Mora delivers some beautiful art in this issue. The style and visual flair at play on the pages is some of the best in comics today. There are so many great images throughout the issue that the art keeps me as riveted as the story. Read Full Review

Once & Future continues to be one of my favourite current series, where the artwork is bold and beautiful. The second arc might have been a bit dull in my opinion, but the art has never faltered and I enjoy the care and attention in the details of the images as much as the story. Read Full Review

It's not all dark foreboding and terror of things to come as Duncan and Rose's relationship turns romantic (and their attempts to hide the relationship from Duncan's Gran don't last long). I like the pair together, and am happy to see the comic developing this side of their storyline. Born out of danger, will both survive long enough to see where this may lead? Read Full Review

Once & Future #13 might start a new arc and provide a strong sense of what the book is in the process, but it's not a jumping-on point. It builds on what the first 12 issues have done and gets to work setting up for the ones that'll follow. Even when telling a relatively quiet part of the story " and even if that narrative doesn't hit the same levels of depth that Gillen's name might presume " Mora and Bonvillain are granted ample opportunity to dazzle and show off what they can do.
