Much like sacred texts, Ghostlore can feel complex and confusing. With everything the Agate family experiences in this issue, answers are absolutely necessary. And yet Bunn offers few, most importantly the epiphany that Harmony receives that evening from Chris and the assembled ghosts. I cannot bear these burdens alone. Read Full Review

I wasn't sure what to expect going in, but I was pleasantly surprised by this one. There are clearly some concepts at play in this world that will require much more exposition, but Bunn has given us just enough information to wet the palate without overindulging. It could have been very easy to go overboard on exposition with this world where there is clearly a lot to explain, but both the reader and Lucas will have to uncover the bits and pieces as they go. Ghostlore #1 is an interesting start that has some potential. While it doesn't completely excite, there's a concept that could play out in interesting way telling stories of various styles and delivering a bit of an emotional punch with each. As an opening chapter, the comic falls a little short in its excitement but it's not enough to turn off reading further issues. I thought this was a fantastic 1st issue. The premise, art, coloring, and inking are all top notch. I’m really excited to see where this series goes!

Cullen Bunn one of the best comic authors writing today. If you can’t tell he is one of my favorite authors. Everything he has written and I have read has been instant adds to my pull list and automatic preorders. This book is no different. This has a ghost monster church vibe to it, and I am all about it. From a church that attendance is declining regardless about how good a sermon the reverend can give. To a family with a teen daughter that wants nothing more than out of the small town, a son who is keeping a horrible secret because he chased a girl into the woods to throw rocks at her and his friends never came back. After this first issue I can’t wait to see where this series goes. If you haven’t checked this one out or ev er read anything from Cullen Bunn I highly recommend checking this book and his work out. more

I think it has some promise. I'm not sure what type of story this is going to become. I like what we got to an extent. I feel like I needed just a little more.
