Archie #710 is in intriguing start to a new story arc in this book, one that introduces readers to the coolest of cool girls without flattening said cool girl out or taking away any of her agency/interiority. Archie #710 sets the new story off to a great start. With some drama already brewing, and some residents of Riverdale not willing to accept the new girl at face value setting up more potential drama to come, this current story arc is showing a lot of promise. I hope the creative team can keep this momentum going throughout the upcoming issues. Read Full Review

I'm already not as into this as I was. Maybe it's because I'm biased towards Nick Spencer and all his many works, but I suppose that it's really because I don't like "perfect" characters like Katy Keene. Now, I know that's the point, but that doesn't help. I'm sure she'll be taken down a notch. Maybe her skating outfits are called out for looking like 80s McDonald's wear next issue? Who can say? All I know is that Archie's songs are terrible and it's that small town sympathy that's keeping him from being noticed, not Katy Keene.
