I would rank Archie #18 as one of my favorites so far. It blends humor well with character development and serves to move the plot along very well. This also isn't a bad issue for new fans to jump into the series with since it almost feels like things are being rebooted now that Veronica has returned and we have the Blossom twins in town. At the end of the issue there are some pages about the Riverdale TV series that shows us the actors playing our beloved characters though at the time of writing this whole first season has already aired. Like I said, I’m wondering how long it’s going to be be before things fracture between Archie and Veronica, and I really can’t wait to see what the knock-on effects will be amongst their circle of friends. The creative team has done an awesome job with this issue, and it's a great one to add to the series. While it doesn't show all too much, it's a nice update on each character before the meat of the new story arc. If you're even moderately an Archie fan, this is definitely an issue to check out. Overall, Im disappointed with the issue. Its a new art team and a new arc so its going to take some time to work out the kinks, and Im totally willing to stick it out since this book has been a must read for so long. However, I hope next issues stories are a bit more enjoyable. Read Full Review

This was definitely a mixed bag of an issue. There was a lot of humor and heart in the writing and Dilton is super sweet, however the pencils did lack detail and I definitely wanted more Jughead! Read Full Review

This issue's storyline was a bit tepid, but new artist Pete Woods is great. I liked it, and maybe it's all the "Riverdale" I'm watching, but this seemed a bit too innocuous.

This was so much better than the last issue! Now that Veronica is back in town, Archie is sprucing himself up in order to take her out and rekindle their romance. But they have nothing in common. Of course. Meanwhile, Betty is hanging out with Dilton and we think they have nothing in common, but nope. They both love cars. I actually really loved this storyline and thought it was perfect how it paralleled Archie and Veronica. The Blossom Twins are still trying to figure out why their dad is saying they have no money and they know who to figure it out. Jughead. His methods don't make the twins happy, but he got some free burgers out of it, so he's not worried. I liked this issue better than issue #17. Betty is my favorite characte r so I'm always happy to see more of her. Archie is always great for a nice quick read that's a lot of fun. So I'll stick with this for awhile. more
