We Live #3

I'm really enjoying We Live even if there's a sense to it that I can't connect to it fully. It's such a strange world that has been hard to make the logical leap to that my mind can't process the path, even seeing what we do of the past to present here. Miranda's artwork is great as always and I love the rich and lush details we get combined with the gorgeous color job. A great colorist makes Miranda's artwork shine all the more and Eva de la Cruz is definitely one of those that knows how to draw the best our. The story is intriguing and if we're at the halfway mark it has a lot of room to move and reveal itself still and I'm unsure of where it'll go next, all things considered. Read Full Review

Intended as a sacrifice to his experiments, Tala is rescued by Humbo and Alice. The four friends continue their journey to extraction and upon their arrival, much to their horror, they witness the execution of other children like them at the hands of a deeply disturbed religious cult. The artwork in this book is beautiful, particularly this scene of the four walking beneath the starlit sky. The writing here is so smart and captivating that I truly thought we were about to lose Tala and I was worried. I really like this book.
