A Hero's Death is a superhero story drenched in humanity and vulnerability that deserves to be read and re-read. A genuine work of outstanding quality.

A strong and hard-hitting introduction to the Broken World landscape. Bleak in places, uplifting in others, and consistently gripping.

The strong second issue the first demanded has been duly delivered. We get flashbacks, emotion, drama and a pretty nifty cliffhanger of an ending. The apocalyptic rollercoaster rolls on.

Another strong issue in the vein of the previous two, but, it constantly feels like we're only seeing the tip of the iceberg in story terms. The concept and the characters are good but with just a little more scope this could be something truly outstanding.

A deeply disappointing climax to a tale that peaked far too early and failed to ever recapture that initial excitement and intrigue. What we've ended up with is a story that is far too big for such a small space and that is a real shame.

Eden's Fall #1 offers little in the way of surprises, but, it more than makes up for it with solid writing, interesting characters and a permanent undertone of menace.

A genuine work of outstanding quality. Issue three of Gutter Magic ramps up the pace but not at the cost of the story. There is a real depth to every nook and cranny of Rich Douek's wonderfully magical world and I'd urge everyone to dive in.

A genuinely intriguing opening chapter. A near prefect marriage between mature writing and eye-catching artwork come together with well-fleshed characters, nicely crafted mystery, and an undercurrent of menace to create something truly special. Long may it continue.

The opening issue of Huck was always going to be a hard act to follow, but credit where it's due, Millar has kept the bar high and laid firm foundations for what is shaping up to be a modern day classic.

An anthology that genuinely offers something for everyone whilst also opening eyes to new ideas in sci-fi writing. Often witty, sometimes serious but consistently brilliant. When the dips come they are such tiny blips that they barely even register.

Powerful and dark, but ultimately slightly ponderous to read sums up my take on issue #2 of Kill or be Killed. Perhaps the bar was set too high in the opening shot, or maybe this is a minor dip in what will prove to be one hell of a story. I can only hope it's the latter.

Masterful storytelling and delicate artwork combine to produce something absolutely drenched in beauty and heartbreak. Truly wonderful.

There is so much to love about Plutona. The warmth of familiarity, the strength of characters, the beautifully natural flow of dialogue, the delicately detailed artwork and half light wash of colours, oh, and the massive potential for an adventure that transports us into those places we've loved so many times before.

Pure escapism and adventure brought to brilliant life with an array of quirky characters, great humour, superb artwork and manic action. One to watch out for.

Reddin is a comic that deserves your time. It is a gripping tale of brutality in the old west wrapped in a supernatural shroud of purest evil.

A second issue plagued by the problems of the first. Sluggish pace, too convenient plot turns and an overall lack of genuine drama or tension have so far made this a read bordering on the tedious. Not without hope but a long way from living up to the expectations I entered with.

A superb opening issue in so many ways. The foundations that are now in place going forward look set to hold a story full of great characters, deep drama and delicate sci-fi elements. I won't say it's a beauty...I won't say it's a beauty...I won't s...IT'S A BEAUTY!

A truly stellar opening issue to what could be one of the most entertaining comics of recent years. Equal parts witty, brutal and...weird, Donovan I'm looking at you, The Fix is flexing some serious muscle.

About as brutal and depraved a story as I've yet read, but it isn't shock value for shock value's sake, instead we have the beginning of what could prove something very special.

Dripping melancholy and intrigue from every page, Tim Ginger is a fantastic piece of work that draws the reader ever deeper into this magically gentle paced world. A storytelling masterpiece.

Wolf can go one of two ways from here. Either all the pieces fall into place and us readers are in for an absolute storytelling gem, or, it falls further into the disjointed confusion and us readers are lost in the fog. Here's hoping it's the former.

After a disjointed opening issue it's with some relief that chapter two proves a far more streamlined affair, showing direction, character development and deepening mystery. The big bad Wolf might yet prove to be a good guy after all.

Young Terrorists is a complete triumph. It hits you hard on the bridge of the nose and just keeps coming. You'll feel dizzy, delirious, and completely alive. It's violence, sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll wrapped up in a blanket of conspiracy and plunged into a world where nothing is as it seems and no-one can be trusted.Young Terrorists is The Sex Pistols of comics.
