What would appear to be cartoons and silly at first blush, quickly uncoils a rich narrative that is simply not to be missed.

There were points in this issue where I could hardly stand the tension. The art reenforces the narrative beautifully, creating a dramatic reading experience that could only be crafted by a true master.

Heartbreak and devastation at every turn as Arcudi, Campell and company barrel towards the apocalypse. In the best possible way.

Final Verdict: 8 - Sakai's cartooning is as excellent as ever, as is his sense of storytelling. While the issue's main story ends on a decidedly bleak note, Sakai (along with his daughter Julie) leave us witha "Chibi Usagi" back-up strip to act as an after dinner mint. This issue is perfect for both first and long time readers.

While the art feels new, the story feels dated and underdeveloped.
