This comic has been dark from the start but is now something more. Abe and Grace's struggle for survival and their moments of self discovery are both wonderful and simultaneously terrifying, as they reveal more about what it means to be human than most of us could ever be fully comfortable with.

The gift that keeps on giving Spurrier may go on to rival Rick Remenders X-Force run.

In a nutshell: Brilliant and terrifying all in one go. Not for the faint hearted.

Not a book for newer visitors to the series, this issue serves as a bridge between stories, but is a wonderful and fulfilling story in its own right that will be welcomed by fans of the series.

Though billed as an introductory issue, some may feel the story is simply too dark and impenetrable at this point. However, it continues in the fantastic storytelling vein that has been the hallmark of the series thus far.

In a Nutshell:Things are about to get very interesting. Time to start picking up this one again.

I implore you, if you watch any episode from season 4, watch this one. Okay, so maybe they oversoldThe Dean's love forJeff, and maybe there wasn't enough "Kevin", but we did get a little reference toProfessor Duncan's absence and that was really nice to see, but the thing i'm worried about is, what the hell is gonna happen with Pierce?

Harrison Snow has emerged as a truly devious and dangerous character and is sure to provide the series with a focal point from here on. Fasten your seatbelts, the ride is just beginning.

All in all, this is a packed issue which is clearly setting up to a major story arc.

The story is finally getting interesting.

As with many anthologies, Dark Horse Presents #2 is a mixed bag, but it manages to rise above the sum of its parts. The worst of these short stories is merely average, and there are a few moments of hilarity and real beauty found within. It's also worth noting that the $4.99 price tag gets you 48 pages of content, compared to the 28 pages found within the similarly priced Superior Spider-Man #33 this week.
