Ice Cream Man #6 tells three distinctive and captivating stories that range from the tragic to the disturbing. Couple these stories with an issue devoid of dialogue that enhances the storytelling and you have a masterful creation that is a must read.

Rob Guillory's Farmhand is a intriguing venture that sets the stage for what looks like it will be a fun ride. Guillroy uses his remarkable pencils to draw you into his humorous yet sometimes intense and dark world.

Flavor #1 is off to an exciting start. The creative team has created a delicious, lived-in new world with characters that, by the end of the issue, are worth investing in. The combination of intriguing story-lines with exemplary art makes this a must read first issue.

If issue #1 of Flavor whet your appetite, then the morsels in this issue will surely satisfy you. Outstanding writing and art build a story that is appealing on multiple levels and is a must read this month.

Pestilence: A Story of Satan #2 is an intense and graphic creation that is as beautiful as it is disturbing. In Satan, Frank Tieri and Oleg Okunev have created a literal embodiment of evil and wickedness that is rarely seen in modern comics.

Here, in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #83, Eastman and Co. feature a story that blends perfectly with its visuals.

Rick and Morty vs. Dungeons & Dragons #1 is a high energy, hilarious and cleverly written concoction. It is a strong recommendation for fans of high quality comedy and a must read for any Dungeons & Dragons fans or players. Or in the words so eloquently captured by Morty, "Dungeons & Dragons B*****s!".

If you are hankering for a modern day sci-fi mystery that is smartly written, expertly illustrated, and ignites a spark of intrigue for future issues then Starship Down is a must-read.

Submerged #1 is a fascinating introductory issue. Vita Ayala and co. lay the groundwork for an original story that seems intent on keeping the reader guessing its direction.

This was a definite thumbs up for Super Sons #14. First-class writing and out-of-this-world artwork. A definite recommendation.

Dungeons & Dragons: Evil at Baldur's Gate #1 is a fun, fantasy adventure; its star is the writing of its main character who is portrayed with a charming, comedic appeal that will leave viewers smiling and chuckling throughout.

Stellar #1 presents a cohesive blending of story and art that introduces the titular character as well as small pieces of her origin. It creates an intriguing world and teases just enough of the overall storyline as to leave the reader craving Issue #2.

Overall, Action Comics #999 is a well-written and well-illustrated issue with a somewhat unsatisfactory resolution.

A fun and refreshing introduction to a modern-day hero that's inspired by a legend.

Kudos to the creative team. They successfully created a My Little Pony comic that is attractive to its core audience while simultaneously expanding the world and knowledge of the My Little Pony universe.

A fun first issue with a premise that is instantly recognized by fantasy or RPG lovers. This is the beginning to what I hope is a worthwhile, continuing adventure.

An intriguing beginning to the new Star Trek mini-series. It slowly builds from an innocuous beginning to a fascinating reveal of an alternate and darker Trek universe.

X-Files: Case Files-Florida Man...captures the charm and characters of the television show. Any fan of the show will enjoy their imagining in this issue as well as the set up for what looks to be in interesting X-File case.

While the Enterprise crew slowly unravels the strange happenings around them, readers are left waiting and wanting more intrigue and possibly a less predictable evolution of the story line.

A continuation of the evil Enterprise crew's plans. While the issue is true to the Star Trek setting and Enterprise crew, the villains in the story just don't seem convincing and the story suffers as a result.
