I am not typically a sci-fi fan. I have no love for things like Star Wars or Dr. Who or anything like that. It is a testament to the talent behind the first issue of Stellar that I am fully on board with a story from a genre that I typically actively avoid. Stellar's day began with a routine bounty but ended on a journey of unwanted self-discovery. Did contemplating her past bring it to her, or was she just having a no-good very bad day? Keatinge and Blevins have some work ahead of them to define this mysterious bounty hunter and make her their own. With content as promising as this, we'll keep our eyes pointed to the stars. There's obviously far more to delve into the character than we glimpse in this first issue. I'll be curious to see if the reveals help flesh out the character or bruise the mystery surrounding her. Although we don't learn the full extent of Stellar's powers and abilities, the final few panels clue us in to the fact that there are others like her out there. And it seems like they have some issues with their former colleague. Worth a look. Read Full Review

With so much sci-fi out there, it's hard to set yourself apart. While the idea of western in space isn't new, there's always room for it to work again and find a different story route. Unfortunately, this first issue of Stellar doesn't seem to present much that hasn't been done before. Now, that'll depend on how much you read or view things, but there's enough not working together in this story that it's likely to turn more than a few people off. If you dig it though, keep on digging it. And if you don't, well then don't go for the low hanging fruit and attack the name. Read Full Review

This is alright I guess...I'm not even sure why I added this to my pull list...I think because I recognized Bret Blevins name from X-Men books in the 90s. It's just not really noteworthy. I read it about an hour ago and I already kind of forget what happened...I think I'm out

The Art give me the need to try it. But I didn't like the way this comic is written. Cover - Wel i don't see the relation. But very nice 1/2 Writing - I don't like the multiple flashback in the story, and I don't understand the end at all. 1.5/2 Arts - The art was interesting to see, but in the reading I find it too heavy. Some panel slow the story & myself instead of pushing me head. 2/3 Feeling - Will not come for more. 0/2
