All said, this was a good way to end a rocky start, and a nice way to introduce an artist we may be seeing more of in the future. It was an adequateend for Blue Beetle, a character that readers would like to see more of.

All in all it seemed like a nice start (or restart) for a character that many people are hoping will come back in a strong way. It was also a nice start for an artist new to the mainstream comics market. It was not so much a nice start for the writing. Hopefully, the kinks will be smoothed out for issue two and after that we may get everybody's favorite beetle Ted Kord back in the main continuity.
