The quality of Young X-Men has definitely gotten better as the series continues. Guggenheim seems to have a fantastic direction laid out for at least the next two story-arcs, and he's really got a grasp on the characters. The tone of this title has gotten a bit darker since the first issue and that comes from the disposal of the playful banter and the characterization of Cyclops more in tune with the rest of the X-universe. There's a lot of solid material here, and I am indeed looking forward to where Guggenheim goes with this, especially with the coming of Uncanny X-Men #500.
