I only learned that this book is based on an old animated show I have never heard of after reading issue 1, which unfortunately diminished my enthusiasm somewhat, since I cannot credit Flores and the artists for all the originality and creativity I first saw in the book.
Having said that, this series still offers a lot of both. Plus, reinvigorating a franchise is an achievement in its own right. The book feels very fresh and modern. The dialogue has a natural flow and the art is just amazingly detailed. There are some calmer scenes that could have been depicted in a more interesting way, but that’s just a minor issue.
Overall, Biker Mice from Mars 2 is a lot of fun and much better executed than the bulk of Marvel or DC books the more
