TIMESLIDING IN…TO PUT A STOP TO THE PHOENIX! Jean Grey's beloved, long-dead sister Sara is…alive and well among the stars?! On a mysterious planet called Greyhaven, the Grey sisters have had an impossible reunion… But while Jean is overjoyed, other forces at work in the universe are less than thrilled - especially the psychically-attuned ones: like the telepathic, time-traveling soldier known as CABLE. After all, what's an X-Men family reunion without at least one time-displaced stepchild?!

Nerd Initiative - Megan Nichole Jul 23, 2025

Once again, Stephanie Phillips writes another excellent issue of Phoenix, one that bares Jean's soul and shows us her more vulnerable side. With every issue that comes out, I get more excited for the next one as Phillips seems to elevate in talent and quality with every comic. Read Full Review

    Comic Watch - B. Radtz Jul 23, 2025

Phillips has really shown Jeans heart, which isnt something every writer likes to delve into. Its usually story after story of power scaling, and absolute power corrupts absolutely, while failing the woman this story is all about. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff Jul 25, 2025

Phillips is playing around the edges of the cosmic end of the Marvel Universe. There might not be the kind of intenstiy one might expect from an entity as powerful as the one that was introduced back in 1980 by Claremont and Byrne, but its all very impressive on quite a few different levels. Its been an interesting journey thus far. Phillips and company should be able to find the right momentum to launch Jean in a new direction at the end of the current conflict. Itll be interesting to see what she comes-up with for future issues. Read Full Review

    KPB Comics - A.S Tiger Jul 23, 2025

Phoenix #13 picks up the pace from previous issues, driving the story forward and revealing significant character developments. However, it remains choppy, with character voices feeling lifeless, and their actions needlessly dramatic. While the artist demonstrates solid fundamental skills and works diligently, the art lacks the polish and experience necessary to truly elevate the book. Read Full Review

The covers for this issue are absolutely striking. Each cover encapsulates the essence of what’s happening inside, and they’re visually stunning. You can tell a lot of thought went into making each one feel like a piece of art in itself. The covers are dynamic, enticing, and set the tone for the emotional journey within.

this issue is the perfect culmination of everything that’s come before. The emotional payoff is huge, and every narrative thread feels like it’s tying together in a meaningful way. The resolution of long-running plot points feels earned, and the art reflects the gravity of it all. It’s one of those issues that makes you feel like you’ve just experienced something truly special.

The comic is great and the ending is a plot twist that we never see it coming.
The way stephaine did it is just top notch I couldn't believe it when that character showed off and it makes me excited to what happens next and how will they deal with sara existence.
