Summary: Cap walks the street, brooding about his purpose in life. A spy ring employs an assassin to kill Sharon Carter, who is directing a SHIELD team against them. Out on parole, the Scorpion catches Cap by surprise in his civilian clothes & knocks him senseless for a moment. Cap tracks down the Scorpion, who is on his way to get Sharon. After a brief, fierce fight, Cap knocks out the Scorpion. Cap then busts the spy ring but is unaware that Sharon has been captured by them. As SHIELD agents arrive on the site, Sharon calls out to Cap after she gets her gag off, but she is told that he has left.
