Nerd Initiative - Yancy Arce Jun 18, 2025

Jed MacKay went above and beyond to create a stagering wedge between the Avengers and the Masters of Evil. As stated by The Thinker, the members of his group were never going to succeed. For being evil is inherently selfish and self-centered. While the Avengers had no seconds thoughts on working together. The Masters of evil stuck to attacking the Avengers individually and that brought their demise. Teamwork will always prevail, plain and simple. Read Full Review

I'm not sure how MacKay and Broccardo will top what happened in this issue, but Avengers #27more than lives up to the promise that its cover offers. I'd genuinely love to see more of Panther and Cap working together in future issues; these two are a dream team. Read Full Review

MacKays Avengers started out awesome. It's been losing steam the past 6 or 7 issues. I think pacing is it's biggest problem. The stuff with black cat was boring and the past 2 issues focusing on Sam were really boring. I think because Sam Wilson is among the least interesting characters in comics. So I'm happy black panther returned and that made a big difference! Sam and his... city suit... it's dumb. The mad thinker also doesn't work for me. I liked when Hickman wrote him in FF years ago, but he's usually used the way Mackay does here. A guy who predicts all sorts of impossibilities and comes up with some stupid plan. I'm just not into it.

I do enjoy seeing Mr Hyde get his butt handed to him by black panther. That was fun!
