Summary: The Black Panther saves black singer Monica Lynne from being abducted by the Sons of the Serpent. Racial tensions are on display when Monica appears on a TV show afterwards. Being a black man, the rest of the Avengers agree to the Black Panther's request to take down the Sons of the Serpent alone. T'Challa infiltrates the Sons disguised as one of them. He is taken to their undersea serpent ship base but is immediately found out when he is unable to complete the Serpent Oath.
