Somehow its gotten to be 34 issues into the series. Some three years into the series, things have started to articulate and gain dramatic tension. Specific elements that Tynion has been so patient in rendering are starting to move across the page with the kind of darkness and horror that one might have hoped for. Its difficult to know exactly where it is that Simmonds is developing, but hes been so good about developing everything. The Department of Truth #34 is a chilling, carefully composed relaunch of the main narrative, blending political paranoia, returning nightmares, and new threats rooted in real-world conspiracy culture. I feel like we are actually reaching a point in the story where the main plot is about to explode. Hopefully, that is correct. I like the series, but it would be nice for it to all climax here soon.
