When Jonathan Reason falls asleep, he becomes...something terrible. Jon’s plan to protect the town from his alter ego’s unseen rampages backfires horrendously. He now knows he either has to seek some help from a friend or make an awful decision.
Sleep has steadily climbed the ranks of my most anticipated pulls. The story is growing in what feels like an organic way. It doesn't feel forced. The characters are tangible and genuine. Sleep #3 is a well-rendered illustration of sheer desperation. The whole situation's getting more and more intense, with the introduction of mob justice to the equation and Jon being pushed to his limit. After not being super sold on issue 1, and having to wait for my shop to get #2, I wasn't sure what to expect getting back to this series. I just read 2 and 3, and wow, this series has really ramped up. The emotion you feel for the main character is pretty heartbreaking.
