The whole issue might not bee remarkably original, but the central relationship between Thunder and its owner feels fresh and intriguing enough to carry the series through some of its slower, more derivative moments. Its been a lot of interesting so far. Theres going to eventually need to be more introduced beyond the central appeal of the series if its going to be interesting after the basics of the relationship between the two main characters. For now, though, its a great deal of energy. So much of the overall energy of the rest of the series feels like a particularly uninspired Judge Dredd story. This issue has some really good back story which lets the reader into Bloods world and life a little more. Benito Cereno is crafting a very heartfelt story while at the same time bringing a lot of action and carnage along the way. Knowing that there is more to the story helps build the anticipation for the issues to come. Read Full Review
Blood & Thunder 2 is still new reader friendly so those who missed the debut last month can quickly jump on without feeling lost. This sci-fi saga looks like its going to become monthly appointment reading. Read Full Review
