Comical Opinions - Gabriel Hernandez Jul 24, 2025

VAMPIRELLA: ARMAGEDDON #1 is a raging, smart, and visually lush reboot that rips open old wounds and then dares to salt them. Sniegoski's writing lands every emotional gut punch, while Baal's artwork brings the darkness and fire in spades. You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff Jul 25, 2025

Traditional horror inhabits a post-apocalyptic atmosphere quite well. Its a very appealing pairing of werewolf, vampire and the end of the world. Without the need to remain hidden in the shadows, the traditional horror fixtures have a chance to open-up in ways the feel suitably cool for page and panel. The buddy action between allied vampire and werewolf energies make for a really fun combination as well. Given the right momentum, the series could turn into something quite appealing quite quickly. Sniegoski and Baal bring an appealing series of scenes to the page for an enjoyable opening. Read Full Review

Decent book, you know what you're getting with a Vampirella comic. I bought it for the beautiful Joseph Michael Linsner cover but didn't regret the three or four minutes of my life I spent reading it. One day I'd love it if they splurged and brought in a top tier writer and let JML do all the interior art for a magnum opus Vampirella story.
