Discover the fate of one T-800 as it relentlessly tracks down its objective, absorbing ever-increasing amounts of damage as it loses more and more of its critical systems. But who will break down first — the hunter, or its prey?

The suspiciously efficient creative team of DECLAN SHALVEY and LUKE SPARROW reveal a new perspective on the war against the machines with The Terminator #9 — more

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff Jul 31, 2025

Shalvey and Mulvey wouldn't have any difficulty continuing on the series indefinitely. However, this one issue is actually a really good distillation of the entire concept of what it is that's been developed in the heart of the series. And there really wouldn't be any reason to keep going or not for the fact that it's actually just kind of fun saying brutal technology of humanity continued to bang its head against the wall of time. Very creative! The pages evoke a brutality not seen in Terminators for a long time, not since Cameron's original film. It wasn't by chance that it was changed to Terminator: Metal; there's still a lot to be told, and we'll still have issue #10. Congratulations to Shalvey! And the art doesn't compromise.
