For all those devoted readers, myself included, worrying that Space Ghost Annual 1 was serving as the series finale, that's not the case at all. Yes, this is the conclusion to this opening act, but the creative team remains intact as Space Ghost Season Two kicks off a new arc with a fresh threat for Space Ghost and crew. Space Ghost Annual #1 does an excellent job of closing the Ultima chapter, as well as setting the table for whats to come next. David Pepose does an awesome job of sticking the landing on this incredible ending of this 13 issue season of Space Ghost. The suspense established throughout the series was effectively resolved with a highly satisfying conclusion. But it doesnt just end this saga, the issue also kicks off where we are going next, including our first introduction to our next big bad. Read Full Review

Super hero stories almost necessitate an action packed conclusion. Space Ghost Annual #1 definitely delivers on that score. The difficulty here is that the creative team set the bar for the series so much higher than a mere action romp that such a standard conclusion doesnt quite do justice to what came before. That said, Space Ghost Annual #1 is still a tightly developed story in its own right with rich arta strong finish to the first story arc of an even stronger series. Read Full Review
