Given how #8 introduced Maxwell Lords involvement explicitly, and #9 escalated things, The New Gods #10 feels like the turning point. If done well, this could be the issue that readers quote later when talking about how the series really got going beyond set-up into direct, unavoidable conflict. The New Gods #10 delivers strong visuals, tense pacing, emotionally fraught dialogue, and a cover that tells you this is no longer just about prophecyits about rescue, choices, cost. A look into a lost soul leads a heavily travelled issue. Ram Vs writing juggles many plots while continuing to build. Cagle and Segala present Serifans past with much sadness and longing.
