Hellboy in Love: The Art of Fire #2 is another fantastic entry in the Hellboy Universe and Hellboy in Love series. The creative team packs a lot into just two issues and hits so many of the classic story beats of a Hellboy tale. While The Art of Fire is just one entry into the larger Hellboy in Love story, one or two more issues would have been nice to flesh out some of the additional elements that are introduced in this issue. Plot
In Iceland, Anastasia and Hellboy try to get the witch they awakened with Necromancy to give them information about the witch Delilah and the group of witches called SUAREN ARTEA, who had the ability to communicate across the planet (Read Hellboy In Love).
The witch causes the volcano to erupt more and escapes. Hellboy and Anastasia follow her, but she manages to vanish.
Liz and Abraham Sapien ask Professor Bruttenholm to bring Hellboy back and not replace him with another agent in the B.P.R.D., but the professor dismisses the request. He and Hellboy have created a personal distance that grows over time.
