Be Not Afraid #1 is an interesting take on an Anti-Christ type figure. Jude Ellison S. Doyle does an amazing job of creating this desolate world, with a completely evil figure. The best past is the reveal of Jordys conception and who his father is. It is an unexpected and completely out of left field reveal. The story feels confusing and a little lost at times but giving it the benefit of the doubt it is probably due to building some suspense and mystery. Read Full Review

Although I've seen people reference The Omen and The Exorcist as inspirations for this series, I'm wondering if Jerome Bixby's classic short story "It's a Good Life" might also be in the mix. At any rate, it's a very promising beginning and I'm glad to be on board for the ride.
Unique art style. Intriguing story. Unfortunately it's a really fast reads.. I was done in 3 minutes. I'm looking forward for the next issues.
