A not bad, but flawed piece about a Bloodhound named Sandor escorting his human girl after the Wake, which is an unexplained event where all animals gain sentience. The characters are very keeping with the times. In the 90s the cool thing to do as a comic writer was to make everything edgy. It went downhill quickly because writers were doing it for its own sake. This book is an example of social awareness being the cool ting for comic writers to do in the 2010s. Almost all of the characters are gay or trans, including a non binary cat, because tolarance! It hasn't been since Matt Fraction's trans moloid in Fantastic Four that I have seen such a blatant example of "hey look how tolerant I am! This book is super tolerant! I'm progressive! more
