Red Agent #1

The Red Agent story pulled me in, and I'm not normally a secret agent/spy story kind of person, but mixing the secret agent with a supernatural story line was enough to sink my teeth into. This is a 5-issue mini-series and I'm on-board for all 5 issues. In fact, I'll be grabbing more Grimm Fairy Tales series to see if I feel the same way about other Zenescope offerings. Red Agent is the series which Britney deserves and her fans have been wanting. The team of Iovino and Galino synergistically compose the medley of destruction in which will hopefully unfold her hidden potential. The first issue has established her mission and now, we just have to wait to see if she will survive or succumb to the machinations of her possibly insurmountable foe. There was a lot of build-up to an ending that knocks you on your ass. Normally I would feel like I wasted my time, but I'm seriously concerned that our 'Red Agent' may be in over her head. Although to re-iterate a previous statement, I like the villain 'Alpha'. Any time he gets one over on the hero, I'm not exactly disappointed. As someone who always finds themselves rooting for the hero, I'm conflicted here. Alpha is a bad dude, doing bad things...but damn he's so mysterious and cool. Read Full Review

Overall, Red Agent shows a lot of promise. This first issue laid out solid groundwork and gave a cliffhanger ending that will surely entice readers to continue their journey with Britney Waters. Read Full Review
