Mar 22, 2026WhileKing Dracula may try to fascinate enthused readers with a story of hollow revenge and the vain attempt to gain power, it is the underlying shallowness of arrogant vampires that forces the audience to choose a side, all as we know neither one is worthy of our acceptance but all of our contempt, and the success of either will only lead to the suffering to those beneath the cold gaze of these callous hunters. Yet as fantastic illustrations and sobering colors lure us deeper into this despicable choice, one cannot but sigh in disbelief once the familiarity of classic vampire scenarios come into play, making horror fans wonder how they work so well together, even though we may shake our heads in exasperation as to how someone who believes himself superior can fall into such an obvious trap.
