Jul 22, 2022Whether you've watched the TV anime series or not, Shadows House makes for a fascinating read. It reminds me a little of the tales of Green Knowe by Lucy M. Boston, set in an old house of great character in which time sometimes has no meaning. Shadows House is imaginatively conceived and manages to exude a sinister and compelling atmosphere that draws the reader in while at the same time, charming us with the growing friendship between Emilico and her mistress Miss Kate.
