Long thought to be an urban legend in the underground music scene of Redondo Beach, POSER is back to carve a gory slash through the heart of the Los Angeles South Bay! Read the hot new series Steve Niles (30 Days of Night) calls "relentless and brutal" and Sean Murphy (Punk Rock Jesus) raves is a "master class in sequential storytelling."

Jun 07, 2018The art and colors support the overall tone of the issue: gritty, with edges. If you like horror, you'll love this issue, particularly if you enjoy the sort of horror that plays in the gray and makes you wonder who the bad guys really are. Read Full Review

Sep 01, 2018Overall,Poseris going to be the next big thing for Waxwork Comics. An indie slasher that centers around youthful rebellion, good music, and humanizing flaws, it promises to hold unexpected twists on the journey that lies ahead. Capeless Crusader - Lindsey Bass
Mar 08, 2018This is clearly not a book for young audiences or those with weak stomachs. Matt Miner gave us horror without it being cheesy. This is how horror movies should be written. The artwork flows with the story. I can look at it and believe that the creators have been to Southern California and that they have been involved in the punk scene. I cannot wait to see what this creative team has planned going forward. Read Full Review

Apr 09, 2018Poser has the makings of the next great slasher story. It's like a punk rock version of I Know What You Did Last Summer, but with some actual diversity instead of wall-to-wall white people. Although, now that I think about it, we don't know of a connection between Otto in the past and Ash and her friends in the present. At the very least, this is a fun, slasher comic packed with all the things that have made the horror sub-genre stand the test of time. Read Full Review

Sep 12, 2018The comic is a great one blending horror and music together. There's a download code forthe original soundtrack toPoserwith music by Joel Grind. Published by Waxwork Comics, this isn't too surprising but it's a nice combination and hopefully we to see more of this combo of music and comics down the road. If you like horror, comics, and/or a little punk, Poser #1 is a solid start that takes some traditional horror cliches and has some fun with them to keep the reader entertained. Read Full Review

Mar 31, 2018The Waxwork website is the only place I could find the comic for purchase currently. It comes with a soundtrack, which is why its $14.95 for a physical copy. Im not sure if there is a way to purchase the comic alone; Im going to research that and update the article with my findings. Read Full Review
