Jul 13, 2020The scheming in this volume continues to show how these kids are all so much smarter than their age would dictate. However, I found the main mechanism used to get Mister to agree to help them a little bit of a stretch. Perhaps Mister is a little bit gullible, or perhaps Emma and Ray are a little bit of the crazy that he claims them to be. I am excited that Emma and Ray have sort of ditched the rest of this burgeoning cast and we can focus more on the two of them and their intelligence. The illustrations of the shelter by Demizu exude warmth and comfort, and it feels like a place kids would want to escape to. Read Full Review
