May 05, 2020The escape plans have slowed way down in favor of world building in this volume, and it turns out that there are a lot of layers to a society farming children. We see more about the competition to become Moms and what the girls on the farm have to do to secure such a position. With more accomplice children, there are more angles of the chess game to explore, and the story has gotten a lot more intriguing. Demizu's art for Sister Krone employs a bit too much of the Jim Crow stereotype for me, but is otherwise still beautiful. Read Full Review
