Misshapen beasts known as Evils roam the world, attacking and devouring humans. Mankind's only protection from these Evils are the witches. Fafner, the greatest warrior in the city-state of Berne, has been assigned to be the guardian of the witch Mansfa. But Fafner doesn't yet know the true scope of his duties.
