Accompanied with panel after panel of beautiful illustrations and well-paced story, the mangaka KoyoharuGotouge continues to impress me every volume. The Graphic Library - Sara Campbell
Jan 14, 2024The ending of the fight with Kanao and Inosuke was heartbreaking and beautiful, and a perfect end to the storyline of Shinobu's revenge, in my opinion. That was a payoff of several volumes of buildup, and shows how masterfully Gotouge can weave a battle for multiple stages. With the Upper Rank Demon #1, it was hard for me to conceive how a demon could be more powerful than the ones before him but yet not as powerful as Kibutsuji, but Gotouge did it by having a demon with breathing techniques.
