May 11, 2011Peter Gross is still on top of his game, offering up incredibly clean pencil and ink work that is filled in by Chris Chuckry's humble colors. Gross appears to go to great lengths to deliver crisp, delicate panels that show profound attention to detail. From the feint background details of a building in the skyline to picture frames that adorn the walls of the auction house, Gross is one of those artists that challenges you to analyze every panel with a careful eye. And with a series as engrossing and thick as The Unwritten, that's an absolute must. Read Full Review

May 15, 2011After a big expository arc and a one-off self-contained story, "The Unwritten" getting back its core characters together and telling a straightforward story is a bit refreshing. There's a hint that the book is gaining some clear direction and, if so, that's what it's been missing so far. Still, this is the sort of issue that reminds you why you like a comic so much.
