Once again, we see Amina, the famous casualty from Matty's infiltration of the Trustwell cell back in DMZ Vol. 3. Since being rendered homeless and alone, she's been the very picture of tragic survival in the DMZ. In this third installment of "Collective Punishment," in the middle of the heavy bombing campaign, something quite unexpected enters her life.

Cliff Chiang provides the art this month, following up Neil Young's Greendale with another Vertigo project. His work is as clean and expressive as ever. That said, the slightly more angular style in this issue is a step down from his usual look, and the darker, muted colors also knock the issue a notch below Greendale visually. But if this issue is meant to be a final farewell to Amina, I'm happy with what Wood delivered. DMZ is reaching the point where readers had best get used to saying goodbye. Read Full Review

This is definitely an accessible issue as a one-shot. It's a profile piece but it attacks the most basic human emotions. If you have any interest at all in this series you may want to check out this issue to get a glimpse of the kind of stories this series is yielding on a consistent basis. I definitely recommend this issue. Read Full Review
