  The theme of this issue is "consequences," and the legend of "American Vampire" is fit to burst with with them. Travis Kidd has made some choices resulting in some weighty fallout, and Skinner Sweet is the messenger of repercussion. There's one more installment left in this "Death Race" storyline, and I'm certain the consequences stemming from that issue will be set to play out in "American Vampire" for a good long time to come.   The Weekly Crisis - Grant McLaughlin

  This arc has been a true return to form for American Vampire. Everything you've come to expect from this series is back and better than ever.   Crave Online - Iann Robinson

  Rafael Albuquerque. Really? Fuck this guy. What gives him the right to be so incredibly good at what he does? The art in American Vampire #24 is flawless. Rafael delivers, from panel to panel, a visceral feeling of speed. The secret is how he injects movement into everything going on, not just the obvious. Close up shots of character’s faces have motion, cut away shots of cars have motion. Everything in this issue is flying past you at top speed. There’s a centerfold in American Vampire #24 that forced me to drop comic and walk around the block for a minute. It’s that good. Once again, the unstoppable punch of Scott Snyder’s writing and Rafael Albuquerque’s art raises the bar by which all other comics should be measured. Read Full Review

  As I mentioned previously, I'm going to be sad to see this latest arc end next month. I need more rockabilly vampire action in my life, and this arc has supplied it in spades.   American Vampire is probably the best comic book I read each month. It's in that Walking Dead, Chew and Elephantmen class of books that pushes the envelope and takes the reader to places most books don't even try. This issue is building to a huge conclusion and I suspect, yet another, big reveal. I simply can't wait for the next issue to drop. I highly recommend checking this book out. Read Full Review
