Mar 30, 2021'Witchblood' #1 is quite simply bloody fun. Yonna emerges as the next great supernatural hero like Buffy and Wynona Earp before her. This Western remix involving witches and vampires is just what we need to add some magic and sass to our lives. Read Full Review

Mar 31, 2021This is a beautifully crafted story which is complimented perfectly by its eye catching art. When a story like this comes along I find myself shouting from the rooftops for everyone to read it and I hope they do because when you have witches, magic, vampires and biker gangs what's not to love? Mar 31, 2021In its first issue, 'Witchblood' comes across like the unholy love child of 'Sailor Moon' and 'Near Dark,' and if that doesn't convince you to read it, I don't know what will. Read Full Review

Mar 25, 2021Witchblood #1 is a high-energy, vibrant-colored ride through the wild west. The issue is a fun read mostly in part to the vibrant characters and visuals. While there are some missing hooks for readers, the series has the tools to improve. Between Erman's writing and Sterle's art, readers who wish to enjoy a road trip with vampires and witches are in for a treat. Entertaining with room to improve would accurately describe this first issue, and I can't wait to see more of Yonna. Read Full Review

Mar 30, 2021I'm not sure what to make of Witchblood at this point but it has a really good energy to it and a kind of weirdness that's just askew to things but not incredibly so that you're cringing from it. Yonna herself is what drives the narrative and she's got a really off style and approach to her that's definitely appealing and makes you want to see where the story goes now that she's caught up with biker vampires. Erman's script works well enough overall even if it feels a little clunky at first while Sterle's artwork is definitely engaging and has some really neat panels and layouts to it overall to let the whole thing flow really well. Apr 30, 2021WITCHBLOOD #1, available from Vault Comics on March 31st, 2021, is an odd, unique, somewhat contradictory story of magic and monsters in the American South West. This first issue will get a positive score solely on technical merit, but whether it's truly good or not is squarely up to you. Read Full Review

This doesn't look to be very original and the theme has been done a thousand times before, Saying that, I liked the artwork and the dialogue so will sick around for a few issues and see where it goes.
