While the story does suffer from its high-paced plot and a few confusing story beats, the overall experience of SHADOWMAN #2 is incredibly satisfying. At the end of the day,Shadowman #2is a really solid comic, but unfortunately I really don't have much to say about it other than you should read it if you've even half an interest in the character or publisher. You don't need to know everything about Shadowman to enjoy this comic, though I'm sure it helps, because Diggle, Segovia and colourist Ulises Arreola have delivered a comic that is a wonderful addition to any pull list. This miniseries is turning out better than I had hoped. Little set ups that have had big payoffs. My only problem is that these issues are paced very quickly. not leaving much time for the reader and the characters to reflect. Read Full Review

If the first issue didn't fully grab you, I would hope that Shadowman #2 did. By the end of this issue we are left with a very good idea as to what this story has to offer us moving forward. Based on how this story is going so far, I'd love to see an ongoing Shadowman series out of Valiant. Both the characters and the setting are so different from most of the Valiant universe, that I'd be willing to take the time to explore this pocket of it. Read Full Review

Shadowman #2 slows down the pacing and makes some missteps in the wake of its impressive return. However, there is still a lot of fun to be had in this war of Loas and otherworldly magic, and the artwork of Segovia and Arreola keep it all visually stunning. This one still earns a recommendation.
