Archer & Armstrong #15

Pick this book up because, well its great and you still can get into the beginning of the "Sect Civil War." Well I'm going to enjoy a brew and go on a pub walk with Armstrong and read this again. Read Full Review

If there is a book you should start reading it's Archer and Armstrong. Never have I had such a fun time reading a comic book series before. There's not a series out their that's like Archer and Armstrong. Read Full Review

There's plenty of quips-and potentially a few clues-as Van Lente carefully steers Armstrong back to Archer, who is doing his best Frank Castle impression in a clever send-up. Evans' art keeps up with the romp nicely, using facial emotions and visual gags to keep the reader smiling right up to the inevitable reunion of the title characters of this great series. Khari Evans is on art for this issue, with a little help from ChrisCross, and book looks good. Evans isn't a perfect fit for this series, but it doesn't drag the issue down at all. The characters look a little puffier than usual, but since they're drunk the whole time, it's forgivable, I suppose. Evans nails the comedic tone, and that's what is really important in a comic like this. The look on a henchman's face when he realizes a plan calls for his own death is priceless. There are tons of great moment like that throughout this issue, which makes for one great comic book. Read Full Review

Another great issue of a great title with more twists, turns, time jumps, drunken brawls and even bigger drunken blackouts than, well literally, any comic on the market. Not that it wasn't already but if Archer & Armstrong can make peace then the Sect Civil War just got a whole lot more interesting and that's saying a lot. Archer & Armstrong offers some of the best characters in Valiant's line who continue to get bigger and better each issue. Read Full Review

There's a lot going on here for a book that could have been dismissed as fluff. Ivar's instability, Archer's continued rage, Armstrong's sadness over losing his friend. It's another solid, entertaining comic, and I have to say I appreciate that I can always depend on this book being fun. Read Full Review
