  One of my favorite entries was Mittens by Emily Kimbell; the story of how an Eskimo loses a mitten to a mermaid. Passing Thoughts was a funny editorial on thoughts of the sexes by Jessica Martin, and the illustrations by Mark Buckingham were well done as well. There was some great talent that Im sure I will see again in the coming years, and these anthologies are usually great places to start watching them. If you attend any conventions, these anthologies are also a good way to figure out who to watch in artist alley, and any of the creators are happy to see their work and sign it for you if you have a copy handy.
