  While not as fast paced as the previous issue, The Markings #3 gives readers answers to questions about how Walter was able to defend the trio against the gunmen, and had interesting ideas about how the markings could actually play a role throughout history. The colors and artwork in this issue continue with the series standard of realistic yet bold choices, helping the images to flow well with the written story.
