Aug 02, 2011Its the future beyond even the time of John Connor. Skynet has achieved its goal, and the human race is nearly extinct. One of the last handful of human beings, fleeing from the murderous Terminators, stumbles upon a cache of ancient weapons hoarded by Skynet itself among them a very familiar cyborg. Robocop is reactivated, and may well now be the last hope of the human race. I rather like the ideas behind this first issue. This is a unique way to bring the two properties together or at the very least, a unique era in which to do it. The end of the issue also has a pretty damn solid cliffhanger, with things looking about as hopeless as it can possibly get. Whether or not theres going to be some sort of time-travel trickery or if Rob Williams is getting a head start on a downer ending, I dont know, but I definitely like what Ive read so far.
