  I'm a little hard on Krey even though there is nothing really "wrong" with this book, I just feel that it does very little "right" too. It's a good enough story, but if you want to read about a tribal child being kidnapped by conquerors and raised to fight in the arena, you could do far better than this. It's a little too mundane, and it's all been done before, and with more talent. I personally wouldn't mind reading the sequel, but I don't think I'd suggest paying for price for this volume either. Maybe once it hits the discount bins, it'd be worth your time and money. Read Full Review
