Too often, however, the script glosses over key scenes and interactions too quickly. This story needs a slower, more focused approach that the comic simply isn't able to provide. Reed also fails to properly transition between scenes, particularly as the script cuts away from the boot camp for a few pages. Nor is Felix Ruiz's art terribly effective in conveying the action o flow of the story. Ruiz's work is too scratchy and haphazard to suit the tone of the Halo universe. The series could certainly benefit from brighter colors and cleaner lines. In sort, this comic continues to offer no incentive to choose it over the Fall of Reach novel. Even those who haven't experienced the source material will likely be annoyed by the needlessly brisk pace and quick story cuts. Read Full Review
