Weekly Comic Book Review - Dean Stell
Jan 17, 2011If you like indie-comics, this is "must read" material. Even if you never venture outside of the super-hero realm, I'd challenge you to give something like this a try. These first 3 issues are easy to find on the Comixology website for 99 cents each OR you can go to the Asylum Press website and order these issues for $3/each and pre-order #4 while you're at it. I did both. When you try to sample a lot of indie comics, you read a LOT of mediocre stuff, but then you stumble across gems like Mannion and Fearless Dawn and wonder how in the hell is THIS not getting more acclaim. Comic Bastards - Dustin Cabeal
Nov 11, 2011I actually picked this book up digitally and it's available fromeither of the two digital giants Comixology or Graphicly, although I will saythat Comixology offered a "special" edition with extra pinups in the back ofthe book for the same price as the regular issue. Granted, pinups in a digitalcomic is pretty pointless but it was some good art. If you're looking for somegood pulp inspired action with a buxom brunette fighting another buxom brunettethen check out Fearless Dawn fromAsylum Press. Read Full Review
